It's not a 'battle of the bands' and it's not 'making of the band'. It's all about promoting hard working Edmonton talent that already exists. SONiC's 'Band of the Month' will offer support to established bands and musicians from Edmonton through a combination of airplay, promotional airtime on SONiC 1029, presence on the radiosonic.fm website, and a monthly headlining showcase at a local venue. SONiC aims to promote local talent like nobody else! Each month, our 'Band of the Month' will receive feature play of their music on SONiC, plus they'll be highlighted in a mini audio bio that will air on SONiC between 5 and 7 times every day. Each 'Band of the Month' will be showcased as the headlining act at a local venue on the final Thursday of the month.
